Rocket Ship

I'd like to move to a place where the sidewalks are wide
So we could spend all the days there walking side by side
(And I probably won't get hit by cars)
But I'd really rather go out in to outer space
So we won't have to see anybody else's face
(And no global warming or meteors)

Oh we'd be so much better off
Circling the moon
If things work out the way I planned
We might be there soon

It would be nice to have a house with a picket fence
Painted white as a statement of our establishment
(And the cops would keep out minorities)
If I could have a space ship to fly to distant stars
I'd take you to a place where pain is far from our hearts
(And we'd survive an outbreak of zombies)

Oh we'd be so much better off
Orbiting 'round Mars
If things work out the way I planned
This is just the start

But nothings gonna get done
If we're staring at the sun
Living on a little blue ball
No wonder our dreams are so small
Help me build a rocket ship
Show them we don't give a shit
Forget about all your problems
Running away always solves them

Oh we'd be so much better off
Blasting past Neptune
If things work out the way I planned
We could be there soon

Gray

There's no such thing as black and white
-Especially in this day and age-
There's bits of color (specs of light)
In the dullest shades of gray.

And should you spy on spectrum's seen
-Beyond or below red blue green-
Then my friend (you mite be keen)
To just how little lies between.

All our senses are so weak.
An unknown sound rings in your ears.
Hearing only when we speak;
Distorting truth to make it clear.
All our cells are rearranged
(Bombarded by Gama rays.)
Evolutions course has changed,
It's become our pet and slave.

Dissected under microscopes!
We're taking every wrong approach;
We treated science like a joke
(Depending on misguided hope.)
The bastard kids of entropy
-Our minds designed by pure mistake-
Imagining that we are free,
Instead of being tools of fate.

The Prisoners Return

On a planet (made a prison)
With the wide eye watching all.
When it's captives
Cried for freedom
At heroes too far
(To hear their call.)

A world where nothing is forgiven;
And the strong all drowned in shame.
And it's worst lies
Remain hidden,
So the weak still
Carry the blame.

They thought no bars were needed there.
The young were taught to fall in line.
They made their clothes from human hair.
Forgot the value of a life.

The watchers saw violence rising.
They rushed to replace all of the dead.
And they opened
The iron sky,
While wrapping the noose
Around their neck.

The inmates all boarded their ships;
The rapists and the killers first.
The taste of
Death on their lips
Their captors couldn't
Please their thirst.

Madmen staring out in to space,
For the first time with their own eyes...
Making their way back to this place!
Watch for them on the darkest nights.

Stareater

Unseen monster of celestial skies;
Swallowing giants in a single bite.
Giving no warning,
It darkens the nights.
Fear the Stareater,
Defeater of light.

Some say it's shadow appeared with the bang;
Chasing all creatures away with its fangs.
You mite be lucky
To make the escape.
I say you're only
Delaying your fate.

The Stareater's bearing down;
Blacking out the moon.
The witches tricks can be unbound.
The sword she keeps will be his doom.

Kill the old wizard who can't keep his word.
Fly though the sky's
On the back of a bird.
Find the old monster by his shining eye;
Cut out the star there
And take home your prize.
